StreetGames Hockey Season

7 July - 28 August 2008

The hockey coaching sessions will take place at each venue over the next 8 weeks from 5.30pm-6.30pm.
They cost 50p per session and are open to young people aged 8-15.
On Monday Palmer Park
and Prospect Park
On Tuesdays Cintra Park
Wednesdays Kensington Road Recreation Ground
Thursdays .Amersham Road Recreation Ground
and Courage Park

Local coaches from the Phoenix and Ranelagh Hockey Club, Prime Sports and Reading Borough Council staff and volunteers teach all the sessions.

During the course, youngsters will learn new skills and drills, take part in a variety of games, make new friends and develop their confidence.

Following the coaching season, a hockey festival will take place to provide an element of competition.

The sessions are organised by Reading Borough Council's Sport Reading Development Team, along with partners including Sport England, StreetGames National Charity and the Football Foundation.
